PARAMUS, N.J. (AP) - Three New York residents are accused of pickpocketing shoppers at New Jersey malls.

Paramus police say officers notified Best Buy that stolen credit cards were being used to buy merchandise at the store. A security guard called police after recognizing one of the suspects.

Police say officers stopped the suspects as they drove off and found $3,000 worth of merchandize that was purchased with stolen credit cards.

Police charged 52-year-old Toni Green of Port Chester, New York, and 53-year-old Gregory Barnes of Westchester, New York, with fraud and possession of stolen property. They charged 57-year-old Stephanie Pruitt of Mount Vernon, New York with fraud, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
