MELBOURNE, Ark. (AP) - A Louisiana-based telecommunications company has committed $5,000 to the Ozarka College Student Services Center Capital Campaign.

The contribution by CenturyLink will pay to furnish an office in the Student Services Center on the campus in Melbourne. The capital campaign is designed to raise the quality of educational and student support services at Ozarka College and help ensure student success.

Skip Layne, CenturyLink’s operations manager for parts of Arkansas and Mississippi, says Ozarka is important to CenturyLink and the customers it serves in northern Arkansas. Layne says the company is happy to partner with Ozarka to improve the quality of life in the area.

CenturyLink, headquartered in Monroe, Louisiana, is the third largest telecommunications company in the U.S. and is recognized as a leader in the network services market.
