SHIRLEY, N.Y. (AP) - A Long Island man who once trained to be a school security guard has been arrested on charges of sexually abusing a minor.

Sean Corragio was taken into custody at his Shirley home early Tuesday.

The 22-year-old was arrested on charges including criminal sex acts with a minor, promoting a sexual performance by a child and possession of a sexual performance by a child.

His arraignment is expected later Tuesday. His attorney’s name is not immediately available.

Police say Corragio previously worked as a security guard in the Longwood and William Floyd school districts.

Det. Sgt. Terence Mawn says there’s no indication any abuse occurred at either school district.

Statements from both districts say Corragio worked only briefly as a guard trainee in September.

Police did not release further details.
