MCCLELLANVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Three boaters have been rescued after their boat was stranded in Charleston County.,

The Coast Guard said two men and a 15-year-old were stranded when they were hunting for oysters on Raccoon Creak near McClellanville Tuesday.

Officials said the victims became disoriented in the fog and rain.

They had been on the water since Tuesday morning, but were supposed to return about 6 p.m.

The boat ran aground and the teen and a 20-year-old man stayed together while an older man walked away to find help.

The teen and the younger man were found around 10 p.m. Tuesday. The older man was found early Wednesday.

They were not seriously injured.

The Coast Guard, sheriff’s deputies, the Charleston County Rescue Squad, Charleston County EMS and firefighters were involved in the search.
