PASCO, Wash. (AP) - An 18-year-old man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to murder and assault charges for gang-related shootings in Pasco.

The Tri-City Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1zy6slo ) the trial date for DeShawn I. Anderson of Finley was set for Feb. 18 in Franklin County Superior Court.

Prosecutors say Anderson was one of two men who ambushed a car Nov. 18, wounding three men inside. He’s also accused of firing shots on Dec. 3 that killed 22-year-old Lorenzo R. Fernandez, who reportedly was an associate of the victims in the Nov. 18 shooting.

Investigators say a string of shootings in Pasco were the result of a gang feud. One of the shootings killed Anderson’s friend, 20-year-old Anthony Guerrero.
