MILWAUKEE (AP) - Don’t try to cuddle with this pet.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1EfKyGC) reports the Humane Animal Welfare Society in Waukesha County is looking for a home for a Chinese golden scorpion. The scorpion was brought in Wednesday by a mason who discovered it while working with stones imported from China.

Humane society director Mark Hess says it’s a first for his organization. It’s currently being kept in an aquarium.

With pincers in front and a spindly tail, Hess says it’s not a pet the general public may want. He says it may appeal more to someone who is “into this kind of creepy crawly.”

They hope to find the scorpion a home in the new year.
