MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A security guard at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison has been charged with five counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child.

Matthew G. Tweed, of Belleville, was also charged Monday in Green County with two counts of child enticement-sexual contact.

WISC-TV reports (http://tiny.cc/h7rdrx ) that UW Hospital released a statement saying Tweed has been placed on administrative leave with pay until the matter is resolved. The hospital says he was hired in 2009, and background conducted that year and in 2013 didn’t reveal any criminal record or cause for concern.

The hospital also says there is no evidence Tweed engaged in any inappropriate behavior involving children at the hospital at any time.

Tweed is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
