BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A judge says a transient charged with endangerment after he allegedly dropped rifle rounds into a fire pit must stay away from the Billings restaurant where the rounds shattered a window.

Justice of the Peace David A. Carter on Friday set a $35,000 bond for 53-year-old James David Spottedwolf and ordered him to stay 1,000 feet away from the Rex Restaurant. Police arrested Spottedwolf on Wednesday near the restaurant. Employees reported that gunshots had been fired at the entrance and shattered the glass in a large window. Police found discharged rounds in a nearby fire pit and patio.

The Billings Gazette (http://bit.ly/16UmF8R ) reports surveillance video showed someone approach the pit, drop the items in the fire and quickly walk away.

Court records do not list an attorney for Spottedwolf.
