CENTER POINT, Ala. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a fire that displaced 25 people northeast of Birmingham.

Center Point Fire Chief Don West tells WBRC-TV (http://bit.ly/1iSy3lK) the fire at the Summer Rise Apartments Sunday started in a second floor unit and quickly spread. Fourteen units were damaged and a firefighter who began experiencing chest pains while trying to douse the blaze was hospitalized in stable condition.

The cause of the fire is unclear.
