LAS VEGAS (AP) - Family members and friends marked the anniversary of a shooting and fiery Las Vegas Strip crash that killed an aspiring rapper, a taxi driver and a tourist from Washington state.

A vigil was held late Thursday near where a Maserati sports car with a mortally wounded Kenneth Cherry Jr. at the wheel slammed into a taxi that burst into flames Feb. 21, 2013, in a shocking scene of carnage.

Cherry later died. Cab driver Michael Bolden and passenger Sandra Sutton-Wasmund perished in the taxi.

Self-described pimp Ammar Harris was arrested a week later in Los Angeles.

He has pleaded not guilty and faces a death penalty trial later this year.

He’s accused of shooting from a Range Rover at Cherry in traffic after a dispute at a casino valet stand.
