PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (AP) - Port Orchard police have arrested four men for operating a pot operation that had more plants than the state’s medical marijuana law allows.

Despite having two valid authorizations to grow medical pot, the number of plants exceeded the legal limit. Officers seized 307 plants and 102 pounds of processed marijuana, according to court documents. State law allows for 10 medical pot patients to form a co-op to grow a maximum of 45 plants.

The Kitsap Sun reports Saturday (http://bit.ly/MOa6BN) police were initially called to investigate “strange odors” from a commercial building

The men arrested were between 18 years old and 31 years old.
