BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU President and Chancellor F. King Alexander says they’ve filled the chancellor’s vacancy at LSU-Shreveport.

Alexander said Lawrence Clark has been selected as the school’s next chancellor. The appointment is effective July 1, pending approval by the LSU Board of Supervisors.

Clark is currently dean of the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He previously served as dean of the LSUS College of Business from 1985-1994.

Alexander thanked the search committee for its work and thanked Dr. Paul Sisson, who has served as interim chancellor since the retirement of Dr. Vincent Marsala in June 2012.
