NEW YORK (AP) - A rookie NYPD officer who was shot in the line of duty has gone home from the hospital.
The Daily News (http://nydn.us/1lpGdpQ ) says Officer James Li (lee) carried a teddy bear Friday as he left Kings County Hospital in a wheelchair. Dozens of fellow officers applauded as he got into a waiting car with family members.
Rashun Robinson was arraigned Thursday night on charges including attempted murder of a police officer. Information for his attorney wasn’t immediately available.
Off-duty EMTs Shaun Alexander and Khadijah Hall rushed to Li’s aid. They got a standing ovation Friday at a police promotion ceremony.
