CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The Young Democrats of America are scheduled to hold their winter meeting in Charleston.

The three-day meeting opens on Friday and the delegates are slated to hear from state Rep. Bakari Sellers who is running for the Democratic nomination for South Carolina lieutenant governor.

On Saturday, South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn will discuss voter rights and civil rights.

Also on Saturday, a news conference is scheduled with Clyburn and Atima Omara, president of the Young Democrats of America.

The group will discuss its agenda for 2014 and how youth can get involved in fighting income inequality in the U.S.
