Philip Seymour Hoffman’s suspected heroin dealers busted by cops

- The Washington Times - Wednesday, February 5, 2014

Law enforcement officials arrested four people Tuesday night connected to the heroin that killed Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Police recovered 360 glassine-type bags of what is believed to be heroin, CNN reported.

Reuters reported that police raided a building in Manhattan's Chinatown after tracing the heroin they believed killed the actor, a source told The New York Daily News said.

No additional information was provided on the arrests.

When the 46-year-old actor was found Sunday morning on the floor of his bathroom, police found a syringe still in his arm as well as bags of drugs.

The Associated Press said the heroin found in the syringe did not contain the additive Fentanyl.

Fentanyl-added heroin has been linked to 22 deaths in Pennsylvania, the AP said.
