CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - LaQuentin Miles scored 21 points, including the last eight of an 18-0 second-half run, as Central Arkansas defeated Southeastern Louisiana 83-71 Thursday.

Central Arkansas trailed by three when it went on its run to take its largest lead, 74-59, with 6:14 remaining. The Lions got as close as eight at 2:45 but a free throw by Miles and a dunk from DeShone McClure pumped the lead back into double digits for good.

McClure scored 15 points for the Bears (6-15, 3-7 Southland), who came in having lost six of their last seven games.

The Lions made 10 3-pointers, four more than Central Arkansas, but the Bears, who came in as the nation’s worst free-throw shooting team, made 21 of 31 from the line, including 11 by Miles. The Lions made 7 of 14.
