PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton has traveled to Hermosillo, Mexico, to speak with Mexican officials about increasing cross-border trade and economic opportunities.

Stanton’s office says the mayor visited Mexico on Friday to meet with Sonora Gov. Guillermo Padrés Elías as part of the Arizona-Mexico Commission’s Annual Fall/Winter Plenary Session.

The trip marked Stanton’s sixth to Mexico as part of efforts to improve relationships and bolster cross-border economic trade.
