As a Democrat whose family lived in Fort Lee, N.J., I think the story about New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is a small deal in the context of 2016 ("N.J. Gov. Chris Christie to address "Bridgegate" for the first time publicly Thursday," Web, Jan. 9). Voters in Iowa and New Hampshire won't care much about traffic on the George Washington Bridge.
I wonder if Sen. Rand Paul's supporters have more to do with fanning this blaze than the Democrats. Either way, if Mr. Christie is as politically skilled as he needs to be to run for president, he ought to be able to handle this incident.
