FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky artists and people interested in the arts will have a chance later this month to take part in Arts Day at the Capitol in Frankfort.

The events for Jan. 28 include a public reception, performances by artists and a display of work by Kentucky artists. The reception is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST in the Capitol Rotunda.

The event is planned each year during the legislative session.

Also planned are photo sessions and check presentations for Kentucky Arts Partnership organizations with lawmakers. The 2013 Governor’s Awards in the Arts recipients will be acknowledged on the House and Senate floors.

An exhibit of 24 Kentucky artists is on display in the offices of the Kentucky General Assembly and in the hallways of the Capitol Annex through April 18.
