MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - A 65-year-old southern Oregon woman charged with murder, corpse abuse and identity theft has been ordered held without bail.

The Medford Mail Tribune reports (http://is.gd/oBfFRU ) that Susan Monica of Rogue River has been jailed since her arrest last Friday for investigation of identity theft.

The Jackson County sheriff’s office says a search of her residence turned up evidence of “further crimes,” but the sheriff is not identifying the victim or releasing additional details.

Monica was arraigned Monday afternoon in Circuit Court on the three charges. Judge Lorenzo Mejia ordered her held without bail. It was not immediately known late Monday if she was represented by a lawyer.

The sheriff’s office says the county medical examiner has not determined the victim’s cause of death.
