LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Police in Lexington say a man broke into a store and called officers with a request to come get him.

Spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts told The Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/1eIzm44 ) that 26-year-old Ferdi Demiri wasn’t armed and offered no resistance while being cuffed.

Roberts says Demiri busted in the door of the Redi Mart at around 1 a.m. Friday and called 911 while inside the store.

Roberts says Demiri told officers he’d become stressed out after an argument with family members and wanted to go to jail.

Demri had bonded out of jail by Saturday morning. A working number for him could not be immediately located.
