HO-HO-KUS, N.J. (AP) - A motorist was injured when his car collided with a New Jersey Transit train in northern New Jersey.

The accident occurred around 9 a.m. Monday at the Hollywood Avenue crossing in Ho-Ho-Kus. The cause of the collision was not immediately clear, but an investigation was continuing.

Authorities told The Record (http://bit.ly/LvTn5l) that the driver sustained “serious injuries,” but further details were not disclosed. The driver’s ame also was not disclosed.

NJ Transit Spokesman John Durso Jr. told the newspaper that four people were aboard the Waldwick-bound train when the accident occurred, but no injuries were reported.

The accident did not impact train service in the area.
