TEANECK, N.J. (AP) - Malachi Nix sank two free throws with 4 seconds left to lift Fairleigh Dickinson over St. Francis (NY) 86-85 on Thursday.

The game was tied at 73, but a layup and dunk by Jalen Cannon put St. Francis (12-8, 3-2 Northeast) up six with 1:23 remaining.

Mustafaa Jones buried a trey for FDU, then Sidney Sanders‘ layup cut the lead to one with 47 seconds left. Sanders missed a layup on the next possession, but St. Francis’ Sheldon Hagigal missed a pair of free throws and fouled Nix to set up the deciding free throws.

Nix finished with four points, all from the line.
