PETAL, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say no one was injured when a fire broke out Thursday night at the police headquarters building in Petal.

Investigators tell WDAM-TV (http://bit.ly/1ekubWH ) that a dispatcher smelled smoke at about 10 p.m. A patrol officer arriving at the building saw smoke coming from the attic area and called firefighters.

The fire was quickly extinguished. Firefighters say several rooms were damaged.
