"Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson will be accompanying Rep. Vance McAllister as his guest to the 2014 State of the Union address.
"I'm happy to announce that my friend, constituent & small business owner @williebosshog will be attending tonight's #SOTU as my guest," the Louisiana Republican tweeted Tuesday.
"Willie is thankful for this opportunity and honored to attend. I look forward to the two of us representing the Fifth District in DC this evening and bringing some diversity to our nation's capitol," Mr. McAllister told the Times-Picayune.
Mr. Robertson starred in an ad for Mr. McAllister during last year's special election. He is the son of family patriarch Phil Robertson, who was temporarily suspended from the A&E show after making anti-gay comments in an interview with GQ. The network later reinstated him.
Mr. Robertson isn't the only television personality to be attending the SOTU.
The Washington Times reported Thursday that Fox News host Sean Hannity would be joining Rep. Louie Gohmert from Texas.
Other guests include Fort Lee, N.J. mayor Mark Sokolich, Penn State football coach James Franklin and survivors of the Boston Marathon Bombing.
