PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - A longtime northern New Jersey high school sports coach has died after he apparently became ill at as school where his team was playing.

The Record (http://bit.ly/1expnNP ) reports Jon Goldstein, a longtime assistant varsity football, basketball and baseball coach at Wayne Hills High School, died Tuesday night at a Paterson hospital. The Woodland Park resident was 41.

Wayne Hills football coach Wayne Demikoff told the newspaper that Goldstein was taken by ambulance from Fair Lawn High School, where he had coached in Wayne Hills varsity and junior varsity basketball games. But further details on his illness have not been disclosed.
