Rep. Trey Radel, a Florida Republican who was caught trying to purchase cocaine in a sting operation in the Washington, D.C., in November, is reportedly expected to return to Capitol Hill next week after completing a stint in rehab.
Politico reported that Mr. Radel is expected back in D.C. when the House returns Tuesday from a two-week break.
Mr. Radel was caught trying to purchase cocaine in Washington in November, and several top GOP officials in Florida, including the chairman of the state party, have called on him to resign after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of cocaine possession.
Mr. Radel, 37, who represents a heavily Republican district, could be susceptible to a challenge from within the GOP next year.
