WASHINGTON (AP) - Comedian and journalist Mo Rocca is weighing into a discussion about leadership in the arts world this weekend in Washington.

The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is hosting an International Arts Leaders Forum on Saturday and Sunday. The event provides training for artists, arts managers and board members who oversee arts organizations. This is the first in an annual series.

Rocca will moderate a panel about the challenges that performing artists face. The forum will include composer Terrence Blanchard, singer Ben Folds, choreographer and dancer Judith Jamison, actor John Lithgow and opera singer Deborah Voigt.

Other sessions will feature San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro and Tony Award-winning theater director Julie Taymor whose credits include “The Lion King” and the early production of “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” on Broadway.
