At least one person is dead after a private jet crashed Sunday afternoon at the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in western Colorado, and at least two celebrities witnessed the crash.

“Horrible plane crash here at Aspen airport. Exploded into flames as it was landing. I think it was a private jet,” actor Kevin Nealon tweeted.

“So sad! Horrible plane crash we just saw happen at the Aspen airport,” wrote country singer LeAnn Rimes.

Airline tracking website Flight Aware writes that the plane appears to be a “1994 Canadair Challenger twin-engine business jet” that crashed “at the end of a 2 hour 8 minute flight from Tucson, Arizona,” Business Insider reported.

The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office said that one passenger died and two passengers were taken to a local hospital, NBC News reported.

The airport was closed following the accident.

“Airport is closed now. I think I’ll drive back to LA after seeing that,” Mr. Nealon wrote.
