Actor and martial arts expert Steven Seagal said he is considering a run for Arizona governor.
Mr. Seagal, 61, told KNXV-TV that he's had a talk about the bid with the self-proclaimed toughest sheriff in America, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and is considering entering the race.
The "Under Siege" actor made the comments while talking about his newly released show "Steven Seagal – Lawman: Maricopa County."
Mr. Seagal teamed up with Mr. Arpaio for the reality series that was shot in Arizona and airs on the Reelz Channel, the Associated Press reported.
According to Mr. Seagal, the number one problem facing America is illegal immigration.
It was unclear which party he would stand for in gubernatorial run, but Arizona is widely considered a Republican Party stronghold and is currently governed by Republican Jan Brewer, who took office in 2009, Sky News reported.
