TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama coach Anthony Grant says guard Retin Obasohan has undergone successful surgery on his left ankle.

Alabama said in a news release that the arthroscopic procedure was performed Friday by Dr. Norman Waldrop at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. The release didn’t include any recovery timetable for Obasohan.

Obasohan started 20 games as a junior and finished third on the team in scoring at 9.5 points per game. He also ranked second on the Crimson Tide with 54 steals and attempted a team-high 156 free throws.

The native of Antwerp, Belgiam, has played in a total of 61 games during the past two seasons after a redshirt year.
