Capitals right wing Tom Wilson suffered an ankle injury during a fall, the team said Wednesday.

The extent of the injury was not specified; a story on the team’s website said the 20-year-old was being evaluated by doctors in Toronto.

Wilson played in all 82 games last season as a rookie and was seventh in the league with 151 penalty minutes. He tallied three goals and seven assists on the season, averaging 7:56 of ice time per game.
