SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Gov. Susana Martinez has appointed two new judges to serve in New Mexico’s 2nd Judicial District in Bernalillo County.

The governor announced the appointments Friday of Ned Fuller and Debra Ramirez, both of Albuquerque.

Fuller was appointed to fill a new position created under a law that established additional judgeships around the state.

The appointment of Ramirez fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Ross Sanchez.

Fuller has been the legal bureau chief for the New Mexico Risk Management Division since December 2013. He has also been an administrative law judge.

Ramirez was been a domestic violence commissioner for the 2nd Judicial District Court since 2009.
