ST. LOUIS (AP) - Anheuser-Busch is planning a big welcome for the National VFW Convention in St. Louis this week.

The company is hoping the public will join a parade on Tuesday to salute the 12,000 people expected to attend the convention.

Rocky Sickmann, a Washington, Missouri native and former Iranian hostage, says the parade is a way to honor veterans and show the public’s support for the military.

KMOX-TV reports (http://cbsloc.al/1n6soMZ ) the parade starts at America’s Center at 5 p.m. Tuesday. It’ll go down Washington and Tucker to the Soldiers Memorial, where a patriotic rally will be held.
