CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The state is seeking public input on a proposed annual historic preservation work program.

The program describes the State Historic Preservation Office’s proposed activities and programs for the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1. They include administering historic preservation grants and identifying and evaluating resources for eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places.

The Division of Culture and History says the deadline for public comment is Aug. 30.

The proposed work program is posted on the division’s website, www.wvculture.org/shpo . Copies also are available at public libraries around the state.
