JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State has announced that women’s basketball coach Brian Boyer has agreed to a new three-year contract.

ASU athletic director Terry Mohajir says Boyer’s new contract extends through the 2016-17 season.

ASU went 22-12 last season and 14-4 in the Sun Belt Conference and won the SBC regular season title outright for the first time in school history. Boyer was named SBC Coach of the Year after the season.

The Red Wolves lost in the finals of the Sun Belt Conference women’s tournament and played in the WNIT.
