MARINE CORPS AIR STATION BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) - Jets from the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort are involved in several days and nights of potentially noisy flight training exercises.

Marine Corps spokeswoman Sgt. March Sanchez says the training began Monday and lasts through late night Thursday.

The exercises for the F/A-18 jets will start at 7 a.m. and could last through midnight or 1 a.m.

The exercises prepare pilots for combat missions and help them maintain their expertise.
