CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Casper police have arrested a man facing felony charges in connection with the death of a Casper bicyclist in May.

The Casper Star Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1ocTnEE) 30-year-old Lamont Arthur Jr. turned himself in Thursday.

Arthur faces charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated assault.

Thirty-nine-year-old bicyclist Matthew Harker was hit by the SUV on First Street while riding his bicycle in downtown Casper. Harker later died of brain trauma at Swedish Medical Center in Denver.

Police say Arthur told authorities he had been drinking the night before the crash. They said he’s been in Nevada since the crash.

Arthur was set for an initial court appearance Thursday afternoon.
