WASHINGTON (AP) - All-star goalkeeper Bill Hamid tied a career high with eight saves for his fifth shutout of the season in D.C. United’s 3-0 victory over Toronto FC on Wednesday night.

Eddie Johnson and Chris Rolfe scored to help the Washington club win its fourth straight game. Toronto also had an own-goal.

Johnson opened the scoring for United (11-5-4), second in the Eastern Conference, in eighth minute with his fourth goal of the season - heading home a feed from Perry Kitchen.

In the 59th minute, Nick DeLeon was tackled in the box but the referee allowed play to continue and Rolfe buried the loose ball behind goalkeeper Joe Bendik. DeLeon made it 3-0 in the 67th minute, though it went down as an own goal. He barreled through two tacklers and his shot deflected off defender Nick Hagglund into the net.

Toronto FC (7-7-5), third in the East, has lost two in a row.
