Senate candidate Milton Wolf said Wednesday he will re-route his campaign bus to set up an impromptu debate with incumbent Sen. Pat Roberts before Kansans cast their ballots in the Republican primary.

Dr. Wolf claims Mr. Roberts has been avoiding him ahead of the election this Tuesday, so he will make a stop in Emporia, Kan., a town about halfway between Kansas City and Wichita, to crash one of Mr. Roberts’ campaign events.

“I have decided to modify the schedule of my bus tour and attend the event in Emporia with Pat Roberts, giving him yet another opportunity to debate issues with me ahead of the August 5th Republican Primary,” Dr. Wolf said. “I have offered Pat Roberts numerous opportunities to debate because I feel Kansans deserve to hear from those seeking to represent us before we cast a vote.”
