HAGUE, N.Y. (AP) - Searchers have scaled back efforts to find a missing fisherman on Lake George.

State police say they may do limited searches over the holiday weekend for 59-year-old William Scott of the Albany County town of Westerlo.

Scott has been missing since Tuesday morning when the 17-foot boat he was fishing on overturned. His companions, 70-year-old Thomas Greene of Derby, Connecticut, and 75-year-old George Boss of West Kingston, Rhode Island, were able to cling to the boat until help arrived. Boss is the boat’s owner.

Warren County Sheriff Bud York said the search has been hindered by a lack of information as to where Scott was last seen.

The boat capsized in 130 feet of water east of Hague Beach.
