WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - Two men shot outside a Waterloo convenience store on Independence Day are recovering.

The Waterloo-Cedar Rapids Courier reports (http://bit.ly/1m38aE4 ) that the men were on foot outside the Logan Convenience Store on Logan Avenue around 9:30 p.m. when they were struck by bullets.

One man was driven to an area hospital. The other walked about two blocks to a home and was then taken to a hospital.

Police say both men were hit in the legs, and their injuries aren’t considered life threatening.

Officers closed down a section of Logan Avenue and rerouted traffic while they collected evidence.
