NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The Storm Prediction Center says parts of northern and central Oklahoma are at a slight risk for severe weather Wednesday.

Forecasters say the storm system will likely bring severe thunderstorms, large hail and damaging winds to the state, with isolated tornadoes possible. Forecasters predict the storms will hit northwestern Oklahoma in the evening hours before moving to the east and southeast.

The central Oklahoma area, including Oklahoma City, could see severe storms in the overnight hours and early Thursday.

More storms are possible Thursday, with sunny skies in the forecast for the weekend.
