TROUTDALE, Ore. (AP) - The suburban Portland high school where a student was fatally shot and a teacher was wounded has canceled final exams.

In a statement late Wednesday, Reynolds High School in Troutdale said students in grades 9-11 would be able to retrieve their belongings and turn in school property on Friday.

The Oregonian reports that Reynolds seniors have concluded their studies; their graduation is scheduled for Thursday night.

Police say the 15-year-old boy accused in Tuesday’s shootings was armed with an assault rifle, handgun and knife that he took from a secured area at his family home.

Authorities say an autopsy confirms that Jared Michael Padgett died in a school bathroom of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a brief exchange of gunfire with arriving officers.

The 14-year-old victim who died has been identified as Emilio Hoffman. Wounded physical education teacher Todd Rispler managed to reach an office and warn administrators about the shooting.
