SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - Three charred bodies found this week in the back of a burned pickup truck in a remote area of Surprise still haven’t been identified.

Surprise police say autopsies were scheduled Thursday. But due to the condition of the bodies, police say the causes of death may not be immediately determined.

They say the case remains classified as an arson with the deaths of the three by suspicious circumstances.

Police received a call around 2:45 p.m. Monday about a vehicle on fire in the area of 219th Avenue and Sun Valley Parkway.

After the fire was extinguished, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Donovan says three bodies were found in the burned-out truck.
