Question of the Day

Is it still considered bad form to talk politics during a social gathering?

The Democratic National Committee sent a breezy Twitter message to followers, wishing them well on the recent Flag Day, but the flag pictured in the accompanying photograph was the wrong one.

As Breitbart noted, the picture from “The Democrats” Twitter account that accompanied the “Happy Flag Day!” message was of a little boy grasping the blue stripe of a flag — which also contained a white star on the stripe. It wasn’t the American flag, but instead a different red, white and blue combination flag, Breitbart reported.

Flag Day is supposed to honor the day the Continental Congress actually adopted the traditional “Stars and Stripes,” on June 14, 1777.
