LYNN, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say two young children from Lynn were flown to a Boston hospital after getting severely scalded by hot bathtub water.

The brothers are 3 years and 18 months old.

District Fire Chief Stephen Archer said the 18-month-old child had burns over 50 percent of its body, and the 3-year-old boy had burns over 80 percent of his body.

They were flown from Lynn English High School to Massachusetts General Hospital at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.

An adult male was home with them at the time.

No names were released and the circumstances remain under investigation.
