HILO, Hawaii (AP) - Hilo police have arrested a couple suspected of growing marijuana.

Police say 62-year-old Cyra Kalama-Lopez was arrested Friday at her 31st Avenue home and charged with commercial promotion of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on $19,000 bail.

The Hawaii Tribune-Herald (https://bit.ly/UAK4G9) reports 52-year-old David Lopez turned himself in at the Hilo police station and was charged with commercial promotion of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted $26,000 in bail and was released.

Police say the Hilo Vice Section seized 674 marijuana plants ranging from 6 inches high to 4 feet high. Officers also seized 80 clones and just less than seven pounds of dried marijuana.

The couple has a court date scheduled for July 24.
