HAMLIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A western Michigan arts attraction is growing.

The Ludington Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1x0cU1n ) a dedication was held Saturday for the latest addition to the Mason County Sculpture Trail. A crowd gathered near the Sable River in Hamlin Township across from the office of Ludington State Park for the event.

The sculpture by Colette Pitcher of Greeley, Colorado, called “Community Cooperative” is designed to celebrate the beauty of nature and the joy it brings. It shows forest animals including an owl, chipmunk and raccoons that are using a tree as their home.

The Sculpture Trail started at Waterfront Park with a sculpture garden. Plans are in the works for more sculptures along the trail.
