BIG LAKE, Alaska (AP) - An Anchorage man died in a weekend crash of an all-terrain vehicle.

Alaska State Troopers say 25-year-old Ryle Amberg was killed when he was ejected from his ATV, a two-seater with a roll bar.

KTUU-TV (http://bit.ly/1vplEuz) reports troopers took a call on the incident just after 10 p.m. Friday.

Troopers say Amberg drove toward a metal gate arm that extended across his path but did not see it until he was nearly on the gate arm.

Troopers say he swerved, lost control of the ATV and it rolled. He was not wearing a seat belt, and after he was partially ejected, the machine landed on him.

Medical responders could not revive Amberg and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
